Marcos Torres is a managing director and head of the U.S. communications, media & entertainment at RBC Capital Markets. He is a member of the firm’s U.S. Investment Banking Executive Management Committee and co-chair of the U.S. Diversity Leadership Council. Marcos joined RBC in 2012, but his investment banking career began at JPMorgan nearly 25 years ago. During his career, Marcos has become a trusted adviser and top financier to many public and private companies in the media industry. He works closely with executives and boards of directors to accomplish their strategic and financing goals.

Marcos is a member of the board of directors of three prominent national non-profit organizations – Hispanic Federation, Ballet Hispanico, and Latino Donor Collaborative. As a result of experiencing a very challenging and humbling childhood, including losing both his parents at a very young age, poverty and homelessness, Marcos remains focused on making positive and impactful contributions to his community, including serving as a role model to underprivileged young people.

Marcos has been recognized as one of America’s young and emerging leaders, given his professional accomplishments and contributions to his community. Among other recognitions, Marcos is proud to have been featured in Hispanic Executive Magazine, selected as a CUP Catalyst by the Council of Urban Professionals, and awarded Ballet Hispanico’s 2018 Civic Inspiration Award.
