NORTH CAROLINA—Hispanic Federation (HF), the nation’s premier Latino nonprofit membership organization, announced that it has allocated a total of $800,000 for 13 Latino-led, nonprofits in North Carolina. The grants are part of the Community Resilience Fund, an initiative led by the City of Charlotte and HF to support the operating costs of Latinx-led nonprofits affected by the pandemic.

The nonprofit grantees all work in the City of Charlotte in the following areas of Community Resilience: housing and neighborhoods, equity and inclusion, and sustainability and environment.

“Hispanic Federation and the City of Charlotte are both proud to announce 13 new organizations that are now a part of the Community Resilience Fund. Many of these nonprofits were at the forefront of the pandemic, serving and supporting Latino communities while experiencing their own programming disruptions and severe financial impacts during this time. With the Community Resilience Fund, we’re making sure that these organizations are made whole and that they are in an even stronger position to continue empowering the Latino community,” said Frankie Miranda, President and CEO of Hispanic Federation.

“These 13 Latino-led, community-based organizations have been operating as the City of Charlotte’s support network for years. It fills us with great pride to support the capacity of incredible grassroots organizations making real differences in the lives of our community. The allocation Hispanic Federation is making now will allow these partner organizations to prosper for generations to come.
