Guatemala Disaster Relief

Guatemala needs our help. The powerful eruption of Volcán de Fuego has affected more than 1.7 million people. The communities of El Rodeo, Alotenango, and San Miguel Los Lotes were hit particularly hard. Lava flows, ash, and earth have destroyed homes, businesses, and community resources. The death toll from the eruptions now stands at more than 100, with hundreds more injured and dozens more missing. Approximately 12,000 Guatemalans have been displaced by the disaster and 3,000 of them are being accommodated in temporary shelters.

In response to this terrible tragedy, Hispanic Federation has established the“Guatemala Disaster Relief” to raise funds to support to help our brothers and sisters in Guatemala. We have provided an initial investment of $50,000 to the fund but we need your help. All donations raised for the fund will go towards providing aid and assistance to the people who need it most. Hispanic Federation will work with community-based organizations in the area to provide immediate food and medical aid, housing assistance, and support efforts to rebuild the communities destroyed by the eruptions.
