Get Up Get Moving (GUGM)

GUGM is the nation’s premier annual Hispanic family physical activity and healthy lifestyle event. During GUGM, Hispanic Federation promotes family physical activity and healthy lifestyles for people of all ages.

At these events, we bring health centers, health care professionals, and hospitals directly to the community to provide free services, health information, and screenings. We also offer Zumba, martial arts demonstrations, dance-a-thons, and a variety of sports clinics. Browse our events calendar to see where and when the next GUGM event is taking place.

Ser Saludable in New York City

The path to maximum health and well-being is a hard one, but you don’t have to tackle this journey on your own.

Through our Ser Saludable initiative, HF offers six healthy lifestyle cycles – a combination of health chats and Zumba classes – to members of the community within the five boroughs in New York City. Zumba fuses fitness, entertainment, and culture into a fun and effective aerobic workout. Each participant also has the chance to learn about the importance of eating healthily and how to shop smartly and healthily. Browse our events calendar to see where and when or where our next events are taking place, or contact Luz Cruz, our health programs coordinator, by emailing lcruz@hispanicfederation.org.
