Become a Mentee

CREAR Futuros is committed to supporting mentees in the fulfillment of their college career. A mentor assigned to the mentee contributes to mentee’s academic and professional needs, as well as their social and emotional support related to a their scholastic success. The goal is to keep the mentee focused on their collegiate pursuits.

Mentee Commitment

  • Mentees are expected to attend and participate in individual 1:1 meetings with mentor, mentee group cohort meetings, and 2 or more workshops led by the Hispanic Federation.
  •  Mentee’s commitment and participation in the CREAR Futuros program is for one academic year.
  • Communicate with mentor at least once a week.
  • Join campus group meetups, activities, and events designed to grow mentee’s network and support academic and professional development.
  • Submit surveys at the end of every semester.
  • Participate in Hispanic Federation lead CREAR Futuros events workshops at least two times per year (kickoff event/Latino Leaders Days/volunteer opportunities, other).
