Movement for Justice in El Barrio

Movement for Justice in El Barrio was founded by immigrant mothers in 2004 and is a majority-immigrant women community organization rooted and based in East Harlem, NYC, that organizes for housing justice, immigrant justice and gender justice and, following our unique model, consistently challenges multiple forms of oppression, including xenophobia, racism, sexism, transphobia, and homophobia. In 2020, the organization expanded to address the devastating health & economic impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
