Hispanic Federation Announces Promotions
of Key Latina Leaders

NEW YORK — Hispanic Federation, one of the nation’s leading Latino organizations, announced today notable leadership promotions and departmental developments across the organization: Ingrid Àlvarez to Vice President for Policy and Strategic Engagement, Yanidsi Velez to New England Regional Director, and Laudi Campo to Florida State Director.

Today’s announcement comes as the Federation has expanded its network to 32 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. The strategic appointments announced today will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s rapidly expanding geographic footprint.

“What makes our institution successful is our commitment to prioritize investments in our teams and develop their capacity to create community impact. During the coronavirus pandemic, many women professionals of color were disproportionately impacted in the workplace. Hispanic Federation’s team has demonstrated exceptional resilience in the face of unprecedented challenges and we are especially proud of these merited promotions. Our leaders and teams are essential to building and sustaining the partnerships that drive our organization’s innovation and growth,” said Frankie Miranda, President and CEO.

Ingrid Àlvarez has been promoted to Vice President for Policy and Strategic Engagement. Ms. Àlvarez earned a Masters of Arts in Education Public Policy from Columbia University, and holds Bachelors of Arts degrees in Political Science and Spanish, Language, Culture and Literature from Syracuse University.

Yanidsi Velez joins the HF Connecticut State Office as the New England Regional Director, bringing over 15 years of dynamic community development and strategic advocacy to empower and engage the Latino community. Ms. Velez, who has notably served as the Florida State Director, has been with Hispanic Federation for four years and brings a wide range of experience and insight to her new position. She was recognized by the United States Congress as an Influential Latino in 2018 and by the City of Orlando for her ongoing contributions and leadership in 2021.
