Our campaigns seek to elevate the voices of community members to enact change at the municipal, state, and federal level. Current Advocacy Campaigns

Take Action for Puerto Rico

Since 1981, U.S. citizens residing in Puerto Rico have been excluded from SNAP and from receiving the same nutrition assistance provided to other low-income Americans simply because they live in Puerto Rico, exacerbating food insecurity for the most vulnerable, particularly during times of emergency. We can change this injustice now by including Puerto Rico’s transition into SNAP.

Campaign for Digital Equity

In 2023, HF launched a national campaign to help Latino communities engage with state and national leaders to advance digital equity policies and programs, such as Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program; the Digital Equity Act Programs; and the Affordable Connectivity Program.

Immigration Advocacy

Since its founding in 1990, HF has fought for comprehensive immigration reform working with state and federal legislators, business leaders, faith, and community-based organizations to explain the urgent need and benefits of fixing a system that serves neither the immigrants nor the nation.

Health Advocacy and Research

Hispanic Federation advocates for health policies that break down disparities in Latino communities and increase access to healthcare and other resources.

LGBTQ+ Advocacy

Since 2016, Hispanic Federation has emerged as an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ equality on several fronts, specifically in the areas of healthcare, discrimination, civil rights, education, immigration, and marriage equality.
